I’m Selma, baby & toddler certified sleep consultant

Hello!

I help families who are tired, who are experiencing challenges with their little one’s sleep. They might have tried different things and they feel stuck, frustrated and they’re ready for a positive change in their life. I am a member of the International Association of Child Sleep consultants and I have two boys, a preschooler and a baby.

Like you, I’ve experienced sleep challenges with my babies

I’m speaking from experience, because…

When I went back to work 7 months after having my first baby I wasn’t able to cope with the sleepless nights. He was waking up every 2 hours and the only way of putting him back to sleep was to nurse him, so it was all on me…. It was really frustrating and I kept googling “when do babies sleep through the night?” I sought help and after working on his sleep my family's life changed dramatically...he was putting himself to sleep from 7pm to 7am!

When our 2nd baby arrived  I wanted to set the right foundations from the beginning, but he would only do 30 minute naps… by the clock.. I had zero time to do anything at home, and of course zero time for myself, again I ended up being really tired. My baby was really cranky as he wasn’t getting the rest that he needed. Once we worked on teaching him to lengthen his naps he was the happiest baby and I could start to feel myself again.

I thought the second time would be easier…

How do I work with families?

There is a lot of sleep advice out there and, although some general tips might work for your baby, the reality is that every child is different, and every family dynamic is unique. That’s why I work on a 1:1 basis with families, to create personalised sleep plans for their +4 month old babies. I recommend different processes and techniques taking into consideration the child’s age, their temperament (which is crucial!) and the parental preferences.

No two sleep plans are the same
